I have a L245DT that I bought and love but would love it more if it had a front loader. There is a fellow I know that has a complete front loader of an unknown make and model that he would give me for free. The problem is the loader is too large for the tractor and likely much too heavy. My inquiry for those out there who would know or help is, does anyone have a L1200 front loader or other factory optioned loader they could give me some measurements/details on the size and weight of the loader itself and how it mounts to the tractor. My plan would be to modify this free loader to be relatively similar to a factory one to hopefully not damage the tractor. I would love to be able to buy a premade loader or even find a factory one but I’m limited on the funds.

Look for an aftermarket loader like a Koyker that is sized for your tractor if you can’t find the Kubota compatible loader.

What is the make and model of the loader that you can get?
You will need to make a subframe for any non factory loader.

I’m not sure of the make and model, I couldn’t find any identifying information on the loader. At I know is that it came off of a Massey Ferguson tractor, but is more than likely not a Massey Ferguson loader.

Good luck on a loader modification, or finding a used loader to fit.
Maybe take the free loader, sell it and the tractor, and buy a different tractor already equipped with a loader.
Tractor/loader bastardizations rarely work out well.

Maybe, but the problem is there aren’t many used tractors for sale in my area that are remotely in my price range.

You may need to broaden your tractor search to other areas of the country.
Most Kubota tractors are readily trailerable.

You might want to consider the ”poor man’s loader”

If you post a couple pics of what you can get, I can give you better answers as to it's fitting or not.
Off the top of my head, some old Allied loaders are very heavy and do not make good Kubota added loaders.
Where others look heavy, like my Woods loader, yet they are sized perfectly for a Kubota.

Another thing that might or might not be an issue is the Type of hydraulic system that the loader came off of.
Does the loader have a control valve?
Does the loader have a Pump and reservoir with it?

The loader does have its own pump and reservoir that was run off of the pto but I’m thinking that the spool valve would be open center so I could plumb it into the tractor if I wanted. But when I can get back out to the loader I will post some pictures.

Your's is a common situation but the solution is hiding in plain sight. Since you know it came off a Massey Ferguson, you can get a decent price for it. There's as many people looking for loaders to put on Masseys as there are Kubotas. As for budget, your Bota should pull down market price. What you get for your tractor + what you get for loader + what it would cost to hire someone to fabricate a subframe will buy a replacement tractor with loader.

You can leverage your old tractor and loader by repainting before selling them. There are many people earning a living buying tractors, repainting them then selling at a profit.

Yes and No, The market for an old Massey loader is almost non existent.
Not many people are using them anymore, especially because most older massey's where large farm tractors and not compact tractors.
