If you have the starter like this http://www.dbelectrical.com/p-2930-new-starter-bobcat-case-kubota-toro-mowers-trenchers-21-46hp.aspx
then the contacts and plunger are available separately. These starters are a NIPPON DENSO gear reduction style starter and are widely used in automobiles. I have bought the contacts at my NAPA store. You remove the starter and then just the cover on the solenoid. The plunger removes and the contacts are under the plunger. Be careful as there is a spring inside and a ball you don't want to lose.

fixed starter by cleaning starter solenoid contacts
I fixed mine several times by doing that. I cleaned all safety switches with contact cleaner it always works for a while then back to a click. I installed this relay Gebildet JD1912 Car Relay Harness 12V 40A 4 Pin SPST Harness Sockets I cut the black and white wire that goes to the starter.
I connected the end that comes from the safety switches to one side of the relay coil. I grounded the other side of the relay coil. I connected 12v to one side of the relay switch contact and the other side to the cut black and white wire that goes to the starter. The safety switch circuit now activates the low current relay which provides 12 v directly to the starter solenoid. After having problems with it clicking for years I Haven’t had a click in over 3 months starts every time

You probably have a problem with your safety interlock circuit that activates the starter solenoid. This is very common on the BX series, especially the early ones. My BX2200 did the same thing until I employed the common fix, which is installing a relay between the safety circuit and the starter solenoid. The relay is activated by the safety circuit, and the starter solenoid is activated by the relay.

For some reason, resistance builds up across the switch contacts in the safety circuit, and too much voltage is dropped across these permissive contacts, so the starter solenoid cannot get the voltage it needs to activate properly.

Edit: I guess I just said the same thing as Woody4…I made my modification several years ago. No issues since.
