How is an M8200 fuel tank vented. I was back blowing a fuel line checking for blockage and it pressurized the tank. I took the line off next to gas cap and when I blew in it air came out of fitting I took it off of. Does anyone know where the tank vent is.

If it's like my M9 cab, the tanks vent with hoses that travel up in the tubular sub strcture that positions the hood. On my open station, the left tank vents via a hose attached to the top of the transmission, same with the right.

Two tanks are tied together for venting and then one tank has a line tied into the fuel cap assembly.

Is it open station or cab? My M9 also goes through a 'loop as part of the hood lift structure. There is a circuit for both tanks.

Hey dave, I tried to figure this out earlier this year when I had a line blockage; What does Fig. No. 0206 do? I think is it some kind of check valve but never found out for sure.

The trick to the parts illustrations lies in the Fig number.
In this case Fig 0206XX

This is a reference to a particular parts page which is below.

The exact item you are asking about is #240 on this particular page which happens to be a fuel check valve.

It is in the line providing drains for each injector so it is probably stopping fuel from backing up into the drains.

This is an educated guess not fact,

It is an open station tractor, the vent isn't the problem , tractor still lacks fuel sporadically, still working on it though, hope I find the problem soon

Have you checked for fuel blockage in water seperater housing? That where my M4900 fuel problem was located.

Yes checked and it was blocked I removed the problem and it would still suck the fuel out of the bowl and leave a open place in the separator, I back blew the line that's when I noticed the tank would pressurize the only way to relive the pressure was to take fuel cap off , so I removed the fuel cap temporarily and it ran well about a minute and died I had to pump the manual pump on the filter to get started replaced the cap and put back in shop and went to hay field but I will be back when hay is done

My new after market fuel pump was bad. I changed out water separator, fuel filter and fuel pump with all parts from Flemingsburg Kubota dealer and machine worked fine, I also insured all lines going to tank were open. Thanks for all help!!
