I received a snow blade and quick attachment from my father last year for my BX1870 and am trying to figure out how to attach it. My tractor doesn’t have the front brackets and wondered if that’s something that can be ordered and attached myself or if a dealer needs to put on. My father passed last year so I can’t ask him.
I’ve read a number of posts and looked at a few videos and they mention the brackets but nothing more from what I can tell

Thanks for your help

Lisa

Does the blade connect to your loader? If so, do you have the quick attach loader? If you have a loader but it is not quick attach, they do make quick attach adapters. However the quick attach for the BX1870 is different than the more common SSQA style.

No it’s not a loader. The first 2 pictures are mine. The other two is from a video showing how to attach from Messick’s. I circled the bracket I’m wondering about in the third photo. I’m probably not using the right name for it.

BX2751 was the subframe and quick hitch for that tractor. It looks like it attaches differently than the pictures you posted above and you may have all the parts you need. If not, here is a link to all of the parts in the kit.

It looks like the same one I have. It hangs over the frame and the two pins go through where the m.m. mower goes. Only the mower OR the blade can be on the quick connect part is only for the blade. Hope this helped. Imine has two screw mounted to the top of the frame too forisky leveling for the pin mounts and to stop it from falling forward. Let me know if you need pictures. Or you succeed with the information I gave you.

Thanks for the information. I’ll give that a look in a few days. Kids last days of school so super busy. Appreciate the help.

It took me a lot longer to get out and look again but from the info you gave and just watching more videos I’ve figured out I have all the parts I need to attach it. There were two pieces that weren’t attached and figuring out what they were used for made it click in my head how to do it. They are what holds coupler onto the tractor on the part I circled in a previous photo.

I haven’t hooked it up because I have the mower deck on now but will try later in the fall once the kids are in school.
Thank you for your help. I’m sure I’ll be posting more later in the year too.

Just hand tight and don't remove them when taking it off.

Thank you for the tip. I’ll write down and leave with them so I won’t forget come fall.
