Hi all, I recently bought a late 80's? B7100. The guy I bought it from said bought it damaged and serviced and "fixed" the issue with the front diff. However they didn't send him the proper gearing for the 4wheel drive. Either way he said it was a pretty easy fix and I just needed to order the Carrier Bevel Gear and assemble it; easy enough. Turns out the gear going into the bevel gear is shredded...I know that that shaft is pressed in there, but how do I remove that while still on the tractor or how do I remove the front diff housing? Looks like I'd need to remove the oil pan for the bolt holding the housing to be removed? The drive shaft feels like it's only a small distance from being removed but it just wont come out. Sorry if this is remedial. I'm mechanically inclined but this is my first dealing with a tractor. Thanks.

You will need to drop the frame to remove the bolt.
