My B3200 came with the old school pin on bucket. Been thinking about getting a conversion kit to make the FEL a Quick Connect unit. I have a friend that owns a metal fab shop so I will use him to remove the pin mounts and add the quick connect hardware. Welding is not a skill I currently possess. I understand moving the bucked out with the quick connect will decrease my lift capacity. Mainly moving gravel, firewood and mulch so not too much concern here.

Questions to the community: who has done this, what kit did you use and why and what do you wish you had done differently.

Thanks for the input

I ordered my BX23s WITH SSQA, so I can't help about a 'kit' but you don't lose that much capacity, really. So you might have to make 10 runs instead of 9 ?? NOT a big deal....MORE seat time !!!

Now you may be able to swap your 4P bucket for a SSQA bucket at dealer ? might be an option??

I was going to make my own like you until I found this thread. The L2230A SSQA worked on my loader; you can confirm your measurements, I'm not sure which loader you have.

I believe the Kubota B2366 SSQA fits the LA504. I would double check measurements:
Pin spacing is 7"
Pin diameter is 1"
Center of loader cylinders is 29.5"

They were taken from this thread.

Thanks. Kubota does list out a quick connect for this tractor but it is not SSQA and it only takes a Kubota bucket or Kubota pallet fork attachment. I'll check out the dimensions this weekend on Sunday. Oldest boy is getting married Saturday and the wife would flip if I start doing tractor stuff Sat morning.

I bought the BX6315 quick connect from my local dealer. I did not know about any SSQA at the time and I really don't know if one is available for my BX1860. I am happy that I bought a quick connect because it lets me take the bucket off or on in less than 1 minute. I have two buckets so changing from the loader bucket to the rock bucket is a very easy and quick.

I do wish that I had a SSQA because of the number of the many more available implements that I would be able to use with it. However, no matter which kind of quick attach that you get you will find it very useful if you often work in close quarters or at any time wish that your bucket wasn't in the way. Also, being able to take the bucket off in less than 1 minute and without removing the whole assembly was worth the few hundred dollars it cost to get one. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

johnjk, did you confirm if the B2366 SSQA would work with the LA504 loader? I'm looking into the same thing with my B3200.

I used 4 T handled draw bar pins to make my bucket(LA302) a quick removal, Not as quick as a quick hitch but a lot less expensive.
Here are a few pics of my quick connect system, takes me less than 5 minutes to drop or reinstall my bucket

Here’s what I did.... I contacted Danannah (at) gmail and really enjoy it’s simplicity, low cost, and retention of most lifting-capacity. (Costs less than 1/4 converting to SSQA and weighs only a few pounds, so it doesn’t steal the loaders’ lifting-capacity.)
