Greetings all, I just got a 2020 kx033-4 mini excavator with 1600 hrs. Found manual on line and it says 10-30 wt. Kubota dealer says 15-40 is ok. Just wondering what owners of this machine use. Thanks
Thanks for your input. I had some Amsoil Heavy-Duty Synthetic Diesel Oil 15W-40 that I use for my f350 in the shed, so I went with that and an oem filter from my dealer. In your neck of the woods.......... typically hot.
I would go for the 15w40 ..... in a Rotella T6 ..... found at your local wallyworld!!!!

Interesting...down here in south Louisiana it never stays a whole day at or below 32. Always warms up at least into the 40's on even the coldest days, and we even have many spring like temps on and off throughout the entire winter. But during the hottest summer months, we can stay around 92-95 plus or minus a little. I guess that warrants the 15-40 wt.Interesting to note for owners in northern climates. The Canadian Kubota dealers strongly recommend and carry 10W30 Kubota oil for year-round use.

I have fond memories of my days as a Navy flight student at NAS New Iberia.
That is exactly what and why I do. Out of the lawn equipment, 4 vehicles and 4 motorcycles, I finally have two engines that take the same oil! Thanks for your input. New Iberia was back in '63-'64 for me.Nice quiet area New Iberia.
