The title says it all. Just not certain if it is a necessity or a need. I have a BX23S with a Kubota (Curtis) Delux Cab.
Do you have a rear windshield wiper on your tractors cab?

I have always found a rear wiper a necessity in snow removal operations.
On my oldest machine, I just had the wiper blade and arm with no motor and I operated it manually.
Before that I found I was always having to get out and clean the rear window. When blowing snow it will go where the wind takes it. Around buildings the wind is going in circles and no window stays clear,

I’ve never needed one but I’m pushing snow. If you’re using a rear mount blower it might be necessary.
Besides during snow removal with a blower, muck thrown up by the rear tires when travelling at speed on a muddy road. If you are pulling a trailer, the side mirrors do not give you enough of a view to know your load is staying secure hence the appreciation of a rear wiper.

Today, after spending 2 1/2 - 3 hours snow blowing, the rear glass was totally covered with snow. Now I am thinking that I am going to need one. Just not certain if I can find anything less expensive than what is sold by Kubota. I guess that the first thing to do is to figure out what the part number is. Who knows, I might get lucky and find one that someone purchased and never used. Stranger things have happened.
If there's a K kit it will likely come with a harness and everything you need to plug and play. You will likely buy the individual components cheaper but you will spend more time getting it all hooked up.
Dusty, I bought a new wiper motor a couple of years ago. Just checked and Amazon has a Wexco 4R wiper.
Part number is 4R1.12.R110D, currently on sale for $104.99 ea.

I ordered the rear wiper and rear defrost upgrade on my new MX6000 HSTC and both are invaluable when running the rear mounted snow blower. That fine powdered snow or ice crystals cover everything out back.
Searching "wiper motor # 4r1-12-r110d" on Ebay shows them available from $65 + $15 shipping (New open box item) and a few around the $100 range + shipping. Arms and wipers are extra, of course.
I've never needed a wiper (front or back) but I'm not out on the road with the blower. Any snow/rain hitting the vinyl windows runs straight down and never accumulates. Other times it's so brutally cold that there's no chance of it sticking to anything at all!
Edit: some of those wipers listed under the same model number appear to be 24vdc while others are 12vdc.

I looked up the Kubota kit on Messicks website, and it is a BX4090
I just went out to the tractor and measured from the button in the glass to the side and the bottom, and it appears to be about 14 1/2". I then measured the rear window wiper on my 2016 Ford Explorer, and it measures 14" overall length. I am thinking that I could use the wiper arm and blade from a Ford in place of the high-priced arms and blades that come with the Kubota kit. I can get a Ford arm and blade on eBay for less than $15 with free shipping.

Dusty, I just checked amazon again and they did raise the price. Earlier they ha a 30% off sale.
Right now the price is about 159 bucks. Mine did not come with grommets or switch or arms and blades. The seller on amazon is autotex store
I'm not sure the ford arm will work. Best thing to do is take the motor to NAPA to make sure the splines match. The blade on mine is 13", NAPA#6-1360 ,about $10.
Autotex sells the switch for about $33.
I just added a control box that gives you intermittent wiper delay,Amazon MXA041, about $20.

A must for me as I use a rear blowing. Had a manual one on my old Ford for many years and it worked to get the job done. I eventually put an electric one off Amazon and it worked pretty well with a bit of modifications also. My 7060 cab has the defrost windows plus electric wipers and washer. No mods needed. I still almost always just push it once to clear when needed on the rear wiper.
Today, I got the Kubota installation manual, and have read all 15 pages, and the one thing that it doesn't mention is how to disconnect the power wire when you remove the rear panel. I also did a lot of investigation on the Internet and have learned that Wexco Industries is the company that makes most of these rear wipers. I have found one motor that is a single-speed motor with a switch for $100, and I will need to build my own wiring harness, but that isn't a deal-breaker in the overall scheme of this project. I also have located the part number for the installation kit, and that must be ordered from a Kubota dealer. The arm is also another item that will probably have to come from Kubota since I haven't been able to find one locally or online. The wiper blade itself seems like it should be a stock item. Not certain how important a 2-speed motor is for the application, or if a single-speed will be good enough. With the 2-speed wiper motor, it runs at 35 sweeps per minute on low and 56 sweeps per minute on high. The single-speed motor is 43 +/- 5 sweeps per minute.
