Here's an interesting vid from our friend Neil.
A few common sense tidbits to think about such as not enough engine, warm up and of course; oil choices.
My L35 for example, advises warm up via a chart of temperature and time.
Have a look and enjoy.

I have never been called the sharpest tool in the shed but after watching this video I feel much better about myself.
Too much weight, too little horsepower, wrong tires, wrong gear selection, poor maint.
All the things that my father in law would have smacked me in the head over.

I saw that video this morning. I thought back to my 680 CK Case backhoe. 16000 pounds gross weight, 64 horsepower out of 267 cubes and she would fly up a hill with the full 1.5 cubic yard bucket with no problem, but it used a shuttle shift transmission, not a swash plate.

Good points in video, as usual. I take mine up hills that are about like that first part of a roller coaster ride where the chain is pulling you up and where the old 9N would have flipped over backward before it got started good. But I’m not doing it in high range with the pedal on the floor. If I want to pull a hill like that at 25 mph I’ll use the Mule.

I suppose if I was doing stuff like pulling a grain cart substantial distances where cycle times with heavy loads was imperative low speeds would be unacceptable, but if I was doing that sort of serious ag duties, a little 47hp CUT would be totally inadequate anyway.
