2017 BX2680, 180 hours, maintenance up to date. Last time I cut the yard I noticed the tractor was running a little hotter than normal. I stopped and checked everything out and it was all good. I went back to mowing and the temperature gauge got up in the red. I cut the pto off and temperature came down but still running hot.
The fan belt is good, it has fluid, and the overflow reservoir cap has been changed out. Any ideas what the problem could be? Thanks.

eddie - - I've had a similar issue couple times. First, make sure radiator is clean, screen is clear.

I found this a couple times.

I second what RCW said.... and get a infrared thermometer - that device is priceless.

AlSO - check the belt TENSION, not just the belt itself, how much does it deflect? - this is critical!

Well, air filter and pre filter were both clean. Radiator needed a good cleaning! I cleaned it up good and now it is running as it should. Thanks!
