I’m not sure if it’s ok to post links to specific listings but a dealer near me has this for sale used. Pin on FEL, 54” mower deck. 786 hours for $11,900.

Thanks for any advice

Most likely a trade on a bigger unit. Sounds reasonable. I would inquire as to some type of condition warranty however.

It's a decent discount off new. 786 hours is reasonably low if they weren't hard hours or rental hours. Any attachments thrown in? Have you checked what it'd cost new, and what financing would be available? The reason that second hand units are often quite cheap is that new units have such excellent financing available, so worth looking at that as part of your decision making.

I think that's pretty reasonable, it would be nice if there was a snow blower or brush hog thrown in though. My 2350 came to me with around 750 hours, your bx is just getting broken in!
be sure to check for the usual stuff; hydro fan, steering boots, steering rack bracket play ect.

Since I'm a newbie on this - is it typical that a dealer would throw in something like a rear blade? What about asking if they'd deliver for free as part of the 11,900? I'm not sure what type of asks I can do on a tractor.

With a second hand tractor you can often get the implements that person owned, if they haven't replaced with a similar size tractor. Since the implements are also second hand, they can be good buying. That might be less the case with a dealer, they might split the implements from the machine and sell them separately. See what they have second hand on the lot.

Free delivery is well worth an ask because it doesn't really cost them as much as it's worth to you, and if it's near a service/service record is unclear, then asking them to service it also makes sense because again the cost to them is way less than the saving to you - they just run it through the workshop and have a few consumables that they get at cost price.

Throwing in a new implement may be harder - that's real cash out the door for them. Again it's cost price cash out the door so value to you may be more than cost to them, but you might be better bargaining for discount off the price instead.

They should not have an issue with free delivery. May want to ask them to weld some hooks on the bucket if they don't already have them. Small cost for the dealer, and a good upgrade for you

I think that has a lot of great things but in a cash only deal I would be maxed out at $10,000. Good luck on the selling though!

I don't know about the 'numbers' but I'd get them to do whatever a '750 hr' service would be. That way both you and the svc dept KNOW when it was done ! I'd also get them to deliver it and try to get another air filter. Kinda 'funny' how they get plugged up in dusty fields....hmmm....
