My BX started running rough. It seems to sort of cycle: running ok, then running rough.

It has just under 200 hours on the clock.

I checked the air filter and it was pretty clean. I replaced the fuel filter, which may have improved things a bit.

I had my kid siphon out the diesel and he will fill it up with new, 'known good' fuel (though there is little reason to suspect the old fuel, except it has been in the garage for a while).

I tend to think this pretty much has to be a fuel problem.

*UPDATE* my son changed the fuel and it seems to have the same problem. Basically, it runs fine for a few minutes then begins to lose power.

*UPDATE* it turns out there are two fuel filters on this machine - even though the service manual only tells you about one of them. I changed the first filter (under the tractor) and it seemed to work better for a little while then same problem: losing power, running rough. I am going to get some more filters and drain and flush the fuel system.

Any other suggestions?
If the 'new' fuel doesn't work, I was thinking of getting a new injector and switching it across cylinders to see what happens.

Any suggestions?
