Currently have my larger R4 tires on for winter duties. I like the lift I get from then vs the turf tires. Have a 54 inch deck. I know I won’t be able to leave the tires on due to those little wheels rubbing. Anyone with a 1880 put a 60 inch deck on that clears the larger wheels? Could try spacers.

Pictures of what? Already stated I have R4 tires that are not made for the 1880. Made for the 23S.

I have upgraded my BX1880 with the larger tires and the 48 inch narrower mower, which brings the rear anti scalp rollers closer to the tires than the 54 inch mower. I have no problems. Something, does not seem right.

Was that your measurement in the link? Don't think those are R4's. Will wait until sprint and see what happens. If it does fit, plan on turf tire for the larger wheels (complete set), then sell the smaller set that came with the 1880.

The measurement was with the MMM all the way up (worst case). The tires are "all terrain" OTR Mag 350 26X12.00-12 T24350626120012

Sorry to be late to the party, it's been a few weeks since this post came out.

I was surfing various forums / U-tubes this past week, can't remember exactly who. They had issues with the R4's and a 60" deck when turning left. The front left tire would rub on the deck (not the scalping wheels). Didn't happen when turning to the right if I remember correctly.

There are various opinions (pro & con) on OTT to adding spacers on the front wheels but I don't think it would help clear the deck while turning. I sure if I'm wrong I'll here about shortly. LOL

p.s. I personally would not add spacers to the front tires.

Thanks for replying. Guess I will stay with my current setup and change out the tires in the spring to my turfs.
