Any one remember the recall on the BH77 main boom and dipper stick pin breaking? I am asking because a friend has a BH77 on a L3800 and broke the pin. I think his serial # is prior to the update. Thanks for any help.

Yes my pin broke just the other day ( BH 77 ). I heard a pop earlier and didn't know what it was and then saw the pin hanging out and a bent ear. Just called my local dealer and gave him part # 7K503-23152 , but this is the old part and #7K503-23160 supersedes the old one. I talked to the shop foreman and he said there was no recall. My serial # is A0539

...........I had a recall on my BH77 backhoe attachment due to a faulty pin that had to be replaced. The dealer said the factory was recalling due to defective pins breaking in half.
.............My 30 hour L3700 SU with a BH77 just broke the said pin. This is the second time I have used the BH.
..........I just got a certified letter in the mail there is a recall on my BH77 backhoe. The dealer is replacing the dipper pin, will have it this friday.

A0539 is not affected. IIRC A1200 was the last of the BH77's with the "recall"; but this is a 6 year old bulletin and you're best bet is to contact a dealer. There weren't that many affected serial #'s.
