Looking at a grapple and the description reads: Ideal for Compact Tractors up to 65 Horsepower with a max ballasted weight of 7,500 pounds.

I have searched my manual for my L4400 and cannot find this information. Is it in there and I'm overlooking it? Does anyone know what it would be for my tractor?

Thanks

Need to add up:

operating weight of the tractor
weight of wheel weights
liquid ballast weight
loader weight
grapple weight
weight of the ballast box or implement

if it is less then 7500 pounds then you are good to go.

I would not really worry about it since you are in the 43 hp range. The grapple will be fine as long as it is not excessively heavy. If it is to heavy you are losing lifting capacity.

Sounds like an EA grapple is in your future. That is the 60” at 400 lbs. I would look at the 55” at 240 lbs. I wouldn’t be too concerned about the HP rating. They are beefy.
