In 2001, I purchased a Kubota B7500 tractor equipped with a RCK54-24B belly mower. This combination has served me well over the years, and as we enter 2018, the tractor is still in good shape with only 627 hours. However, the mower is pretty well used up. The wheels have been welded back on several times, and serious cracks are developing in the deck.

I recently paid a visit to my local dealer to purchase a new mower. To my surprise, he told me he did not have a replacement, nor could he offer any solution for me other than to replace everything. Before taking that step, I thought I would ask this group for their advice. Does anyone know of a belly mower that would fit my B7500? Any other suggestions for using my B7500 as a mower would also be appreciated.

I had a B7500 from 2002 till 2012 and it was used mostly for mowing with a rear finish mower. It had a Landpride 5-foot side discharge deck and that was about the max for it.

I also have a side discharge Caroni 5-footer I use on a smaller tractor (Ford 1210) and I used it a few times on the B7500. The Caroni was considerably easier for the B7500 to handle.

My current setup is a rear discharge 6' Landpride on the L3200. After having 3 side discharge decks I'm taking a liking to the rear discharge deck. I think I'd give the Caroni RD 5' deck a try. Agri Supply has them for $1600.

Have you ever seen a flail mower operate? Don't see many in use, but they cut grass as smooth as anything you've ever used. They are easy to maneuver since they don't stick out as far as other 3pt. mowers, and don't take much power. The same mower you use to cut your front yard will also mow things you usually use a brush mower for.

I started out with a beat up 6' and liked it so well I bought an 8 footer, then a 5 footer.

Check them out on Craig's list. Now's a good time to start looking. Here's a 5' Ford I bought for $500.

A year back I purchased considerable more property to mow so I checked into buying a 60" mmm to replace the 54" one on my B7500. The dealer said they are no longer manufactured but to search Craigslist, Tractorhouse, etc on the internet. I did and found some, surprisingly even a few new ones that dealers had in old inventory, so you might try that search.

It's a very old thread but I'm looking to buy a B7500 belly mower. I live in NE Washington state so the closer the better. Thanks.
