I recently purchased a ‘89 B7200 with a 1640A loader. The tractor has 630 hours, and appears to be in pretty nice shape. However, I have a small hydraulic leak coming from the valve body directly in front of the brake pedal. A photo of the valve body is attached. This appears to be a divertor valve for when the loader is removed. The leak is coming from the stem which goes thru the valve body, and is held in place with a snap ring. I assume there are o-rings on the stem which is bad. Is this correct? Do I remove the snap ring and lift the stem out to replace the o-rings? Thanks for your help.

If it's leaking at one of the spools then the "O" ring on one of the ends has given up. There is nothing else in there to replace. The spool is machined to very close tolerances to fit the valve body, and the orings seal at the ends.

I've never seen that diverter valve, but it's very likely that there are o-rings in it. ;)
