Grabbed an old plastic drum from the pile of stuff:

Started cutting on it with this:

Bent up a bunch of steel:

Put some primer on it and paint:

I think it came out ok:

Need to shorten up the bolts and touch up the paint, should be ready for snow season. Will be putting a rubber flap on later.

Looks great. The only thing I would change is have the bolts go from the top. Gives it a clean, finished look.

Get out of my head!!!

I was at my dealer drooling over an M6 that has these mud flaps as factory options.

Great design!

I'm afraid if I go from the top down they will hit the tire and rip it off. I might look for some smaller ones or cut these down and try from the top down.

Do you have Tractor Supply nearby?

If so, get some cheapies by-the-pound, lots of size options...

I got some 5/16x1 this morning with flat and lock washers, and Gr 5 stop nuts for snowblower shoes...77 cents for 4.

Your fenders look great to me!!

I know what your saying. In stead of cutting them off flush how about using an acorn nut. That way there's no way of cutting yourself. Not trying to play down your idea as I think it looks amazing. May copy it if I can find the time over the winter.

I like them. Th OEM ones are absurdly expensive bit the OEM ones pivot with the wheel.
