I replaced the factory weld on cutting edge with a weld on with bolt holes and mounted a bold on cutting edge. I also added two additional lifting hooks to the top of the bucket. I purchased both ACI cutting edges from Ford Distributing and the bolts from an online hardware supplier. Ford was great to work with and both cutting edges were sent directly to my house. I also added 4” x 1/2” wear plates on the bottom of the bucket.

Make sure when welding to use short welds and move around to different locations to minimize warpage.

Nicely done.

Do you ever plan on getting a ripper toothed blade?

Nice job! When buying a tractor with loader you usually have a choice between a regular or heavy duty bucket. You made a heavy duty bucket. The extra cutting edge and bottom supports give extra strength for clamp on forks or quick spade attachments. I’ve have added an angle iron to “box” the rolled top part across the bucket to give strength for the hooks and receiver hitch on some buckets.

Thank you, that is what I was going to do with my bucket for a receiver. I ended up going in another direction with a 5/16” quick connect plate that I bought on Amazon for $120. I couldn’t make the plate for that price.

I should have explained the rest. Added third function hydraulics and bought and old 7.5’ Curtis snow plow and modified it to connect to the plate. I did this so I can keep the loader setup on for the winter and still be able to plow. Photo is before cleaning and painting.
