Hello. Just got a hold of an old Kubota b20 that has been neglected for many years that I am trying to coax into being a serviceable machine. I've operated several tractors, but haven't had much experienced with hst.

Amongst many issues, I have noticed that the throttle pedal has a lot of slop back and forth. Like a couple of inches. It also has a tendency to stick and doesn't like to come back into neutral. I'm assuming some cleaning and lube will fix the sticking, but I don't see anything to help the slop. Is this common on the older hst tractors? I can't seem to find any mechanism that would assist it returning to the neutral position. There's some sort of rod on the bottom of the pedal, but it doesn't seem to be connected to anything useful and appears to be more of a guide rod. I have a parts diagram but nothing stands out to me, and the service manual didn't help either.
