Im sure you could replace it, but why?
If you continue to own the machine until its junked it may not be an issue.
However if you sell it, and there are problems associated with the pump or filters, be aware that there are lots of people who couldnt figure out whats going on when the situation was different than their manual and parts book showed. If it was mine, Id leave well enough alone.
I am in the same camp. I ran a couple of New Holland skid loaders for a number of years and never had any issues with there pumps or filters. I would leave well enough alone.
I was more looking for an intelligent conversation about the possibility of converting to an inline pump... As a hypothetical proposition.... With someone who actually has experience with small diesel engines and can speak of required psi and how injector pumps and injectors handle excess flow via regulated or other means of return. But I see neither one of you have any mechanical advice in the subject.
Not sure why you felt compelled to comment in the first place.... But I do appreciate the very important warnings and your personal feeling on the matter.

I will store this information in a very safe place.

Well,
It was a fun project .... I got her cleaned up nice and running great.

After successfully tearing up my lawn I decided to give her a new home. :ROFLMAO:

After all said and done I doubled my money so all is good.

You learned some things and made money, you definitely can’t beat a project like that.
