Well I bought my third B7100 today. This one is a Hydrostat my other two are gear drive. I seems like a really well taken care of tractor for a 1978 . Only 760 hours on a working hour meter. Now the puzzle, it has a front end loader that is not a B219 like both of my other tractors have. I can find no identification at all on the loader. All of the decals on the tractor itself are in really good shape (pretty sure this one was garage kept). So it puzzles me why no id on the loader. I guess it could be home built but I don't think so, If it is home built they did an awesome job. I am going to attach some pictures of the loader. Can any one help to identify who built it? One characteristic is that it has large bolts in all of the locations that you would normally find pins.

I'm leaning towards home made.
Me, too. From the photos, it looks simple and strong, but possibly too simple for factory built. That, the design, and the bolts instead of greasable pins leads me to believe that someone built it. And, there is no doubt whatsoever that there are folks out there with the skills to build their own loader, in first class fashion. Just look at Wildfire's work- he could do it with his eyes close.

All of the pivot points with the big bolts do have grease fittings. One other item I forgot to mention. The left side support tower(not sure that I am using correct terminology here) can be used as a hydraulic fluid reservoir. It has pipe plugs built in for filling and level and drain. It is just not used because the loader runs off the tractors hydraulics and does not need its own reservoir. On my other tractors withe the crankshaft mounted hydraulic pump this location is used to hold the oil. This is another reason that I feel it is factory built. Why would the home builder make a reservoir for the oil then not use it?

Maybe the previous owner didn't build the loader, someone else did. It could have been built for a tractor with an external pump, hence the reservoir. Can you tell if fluid has ever been in it?

I think it's an aftermarket set up for an external pump is you wanted it that way. and the tractor would be early 80's not 78 since they didn't build hydro's 7100 till 80

I am thinking aftermarket loader also. I just don't know what kind. Where did you get the info on the manufacturing date? I was not sure about the date but that is what I was told when they sold it to me. I thought it might be newer because the front axle is totally different from my 1977 or 1978 gear drives. Any info about manufacture dates would be helpful. The serial number is B7100HD11462.

According to Tractordata, it is an 81.
Also, according to Tractordata, they started making hydros in 77.

OK is see the tractordata now. I did not realize they listed the b7100 and the B7100hst as different models. That is probably why the previous owner thought it was a 1978.
It still is puzzling-- if I go to the Kubota parts search and put in the serial number it does not find a B7100hst.

I still think it's aftermarket but with so many back then selling it might be hard to find out unless someone else on OTT has one with some back ground. I remember a company by the name Danko that made attachments and Johnson, Woods both making loaders and Arps did Kubota's 219.
I like to see the sub frame and the front mount when you have the time.

Do you remember his name or know what type of loader it was?

Coldwater tractor makes loaders for compacts and they don't seem to put a brand lable on their loaders.

I immediately removed the cub cadet stickers, but I think it was a cub cadet 812 loader. The man was from Biddeford as I remember, had an excavating business with his father, and sold loaders on the side.

I think its the color of yours that makes me think of Cadets.

I stayed home today and took the tractor out of the garage for the first time. In the bright sunlight I think I can make out the word HARDY on one of the cross bars on the front of the loader. So maybe some progress. Does any one have a Hardy loader? I can't find any pics of older Hardy loaders on the web.
One OTT post from 2011 talks of a Hardy on a B6200 but no pictures and no activity from the poster since then. I emailed Hardy to see if they can help identify it. I also found a battery problem but will start a new thread on that one. Here are more pictures of my new B and its loader.

The Hardy company answered back. I sent a picture, they said it was not a Hardy. So I am still looking for info. However what a great customer service department Hardy has. Two emails back and forth in one day. I have emailed other companys for info and it takes weeks or you never get an answer.
