I have a 2000 L2500DT to which I have adapted a 7.5' Meyer snowplow. I need snowplow lights for the front and a work light for the back, but do not want to overload the alternator. I have checked the owners manual, shop manual, parts manual, the local Kubota dealer, and two Denso suppliers; with no amperage output answers. Using E-BAY as a reference-I know!! I know!!- it might have a 40 amp output. The alternator is a Denso # 16427 64011 with an internal regulator. Also is there an alternator with a higher output that will fit? Any and all help is greatly appreciated. willyC93

P.S. I never see anything here about L2500DTs. Is mine 'only the lonely' ?

Looks like it's a 30 amp... do a scan for the denso part number you listed online an you should come up with a Konegmann cross pdf file. I may have the name misspelled but point being it lists many of the Denso alternators. Some of those listed ending in 64010 look the same and have higher output. For the most part they're ag alternators.

ETRon, thanks for the quick response. It looks like some fabrication is required to increase my amperage output. willyC93

I contacted Messick and was put in contact with their service mechanic. He didn't have the answer, but said he would do some research and get back to me. He found my alternator number used on an excavator and that it was only 30 amps. All this in only 45 minutes. Messick is a great resource, and they will get more of my business! Thanks, willyC93

I am back again. Has anyone installed a larger alternator on an L2500? If so, what fit in the available space? I am going to need more then the 30 amps now produced. Thanks, willyC93
