I want to run a Mayer Blaster 350S with vibrator on the back of my b7100. It draws about 8 amps with the spreader motor and the vibrator operating. Can the alternator on the b7100 stand this level of current draw? Thank you.

The stock dynamo delivers 10 amps (at full rpm). There was an optional 40 amp alternator available for the B7100, and I understand a few people have fitted a small one-wire unit. Both those options require some brackets and modification to the hood.

As torch said - 10 amps is about all you have to work with........
the good news - if you hook straight to battery - you will have all the amps you need for the short haul - the dyno will do its best to supply those amps but if the dyno cannot match , the battery will provide. Assuming you have a strong battery. The better news is that none of this will affect the running of the engine. So after you finish spreading - a charge of the battery would be a good idea.

Personally I think you will be fine and the Dyno will do all that is needed - you gonna run with those lights on too???
