Well, wrapped up the first week with the LX2610, and I’m very pleased so far.

Specs:

LX2610HSDC

R14T tires

1.5” wheel spacers

BH77 backhoe w/16” bucket and thumb

LandPride 3rd function

Property is 10 treed acres with a lot of varied slopes.

In the past week I’ve managed to put 26 hours on the tractor. This was spent grading some pads for trailers, digging up Douglas Fir stumps, and removing chunks of concrete buried in a field. The stumps varied from 6” to 36” in diameter, and a couple required breaking roots as deep as 5’. The 16” bucket worked great for the type of soil that I have. A root ripper from BXpanded would have come in handy, but only if I also had the quick connect, as I would have had to switch between them a couple dozen times.

The concrete varied in size from chunks of 6” slab to 12”x12”x 6’ long foundation wall pieces. The BH77 handled it like a champ. I was actually shocked how well it did. The mechanical thumb worked great, and was indispensable . Hydraulic thumb would have been better.

The week was not without its hiccups. The cheap hose clamp that holds the SMV placard mount to the BH77 broke the first day. Replaced it with a pair of SS hose clamps. Also, halfway through the week I managed to pop a bead on the right front tire. From what I can tell, I rubbed up against something. Luckily, I caught it quickly. No damage to tire or rim. Lifted the front end with the FEL, placed jack stands, cleaned the bead on tire and rim, used a ratchet strap around the tire to set the bead, and aired it back up to spec. After soaping the bead to check for leaks, I was back in business.

I still need to get a box blade, rotary cutter, front mounted plow, pallet forks, and a grapple.

I was always a bigger is better kind of guy but I am continually impressed with what you can do with these tractors. Glad to see you are getting your money's worth.

Forgot to mention, the traction on the R14T tires is fantastic. Much better than the R4 tires that I have worked with before.

What wheel spacers did you go with? Front and rear or just rear?

I’ve got about 12 hrs on mine and absolutely love it!

I've had my LX2610 for a couple weeks now. Love it. First tractor, but it's been easy to use. Been using the grapple the most. I have a big Bittersweet problem. Rips those bad boys out!

That rear placard was a pain. Since I don't drive on the road or trailer mine, I just removed it. It's easy enough to put back on if I ever need it.
As far as the ripper with the quick connect, it was well worth it for me. Well made and super easy to swap between bucket and ripper.

This looks fantastic. I’m about to get mine in a couple weeks. Writhing over wether to get the swivel seat that comes with the backhoe (ROPS MODEL) or Keep my tractor seat and add the separate B H seat. Heard the swivel seat isn’t as good as the original suspension seat. Any thoughts?

any experience with R14 on the lawn? Heard they might be too aggressive for the lawn...

Negative, that's a 6.4L. I'm a Ford truck fan and pretty knowledgeable at ID'ing them, having owned 4 Powerstroke trucks. (Although, sigh, currently driving a 2019 RAM 3500 Cummins).

From this angle, you can see the tailgate and tail light design - used from 2008 through 2016. However, the lack of a small body line on the rear tailgate which drops down under the tailgate handle means this truck is a 2008-2012 model year. The dual tailpipes mean the truck is a diesel, but this design was used from 2008 - current. 2008 - 2012 spans two generations of Super Duty, however. The 6.7L diesel came out in 2011, and all 2011-2016 diesel Super Duty trucks have a round badge on the door which states 6.7L diesel. However, all 2008-2010 diesel trucks had the 6.4L diesel which was identified by the fender "vent" plaque which you can just make out in this picture. Thus, this truck is a 2008-2010 Super Duty 6.4L Powerstroke.

Carry on, Ford spotter's guide lesson completed!

For some reason I mistakenly thought I was on the "Picture of your tractor on a trailer" forum. There were a number of posts about Sleddogs new truck. My mistake.

I, 100% agree with you, I've also had my 2610SU for about a week, the R14 tires are awesome, I just put down top soil in front of our house and while driving on it, the footprint is minimal.(y)(y)

Groove your R4 tires and you will like them even more!

I have the swivel seat with my B2650/BH77. Got it that way new, so can't compare with the original seat. But if the original seat is way more comfortable, then it comes down to how many hours on the tractor seat vs the BH seat you are planning to run. If only doing odd-jobs on a regular basis with the BH (as opposed to the first flush of work this great machine is put through right after getting it ;-)) and almost always riding in the tractor seat position especially over rough ground, then the regular seat may be the best, with BH seat separate.
But if BHing all the time, get the swivel!
