I have just bought a B1502M. It has a rear hydraulic link operated by switches on the right mudguard. It only has a swivel ball at one end but the other end would effectively be a universal joint. I think it is for tilting attachments but ...
a) can I use it / modify it to be a hydraulic top link?
b) there are 2 electronic boxes on a side piston, one seems to have the wires cut off from it. What are these for / are they important?
c) where would it normally attach to the rear of the tractor/

Also, I am posting a picture of a triangular set up which is what the normal top link attaches to. It seems like a clever little device, but what is it for? Do I simply attach a top link to the rear most end of it?

Thanks (and apologies if these are rather obvious to experienced folk)

Thank you for your extensive and detailed reply.
Now to study it in detail alongside the machine itself.
Cheers

sorry to bother you and asking perhaps a stupid question, but in the absence of a manual or technical info, and having just purchased a similar B1502M and servicing it as best I can, can you tell me please what type of transmission, gear box and hydraulic oil this takes and how much? Thank you in advance Andy.
