Hi guys:
I'm new here so go easy on me. :)
I just got an L2501 yesterday and it came with 2 of the 4 implements, rest are not in yet.
I ordered pallet forks to pick up logs but only have the bucket at the moment.
I'm thinking of making a couple of steel plates to bolt to the alignment holes in the loader, I'd have big eyes welded to the bottom so I could use a chain to wrap around logs.
What do you guys think?

DO NOT DO THIS. You may damage your front end loader. Each side of the quick attach is made to work together. Lifting on one side will damage the bar between the heads of the quick hitch. Or there may be a twist added to your FEL that you do not want. Either wait for the forks or add hooks to the bucket so that you can lift with it.

Follow BigG’s advice!!!

Beyond damage to the loader, there’s an increased chance of flipping your tractor if you’re not very careful!

Either make or buy a SSQA blank panel, maybe $100-$130 ?? That way YOU can cistomize it to do what YOU need it to do. Lots of info on the web for dimensions.,though if you can find a blank for $100, it might be cheaper than buying steel and 1hr fabbing ??

Ok, looks like that was a dumb idea.
Thanks for the advice.

Mike
Not dumb. It was a good question. What would have been dumb would have been to do it THEN ask the question. This gives you some ideas.

I like the blank SSQA panel idea as well as the hooks welded to the bucket.
For now, I'll wait for the pallet forks. If I run out of other work for the tractor, I'll think about those options.
