A friend just purchased a new BX2380 with the LA344 loader, While looking it over today I noticed there was no clutch pedal and then I realized the motor was facing with the water pump rearward and starter flywheel on the front, Looking closer I could see an Oldham style coupling on the crankshaft that connected the engine with the transmission.

The radiator was behind the motor in a nice safe place...I was impressed.

Sure was a lot different than my B5100 and B7500 machines

Watch this video on after market cab and you will think all small tractors should have a reversed airflow

The 88 series International Harvester tractors had "Forward Air Flow" The engine was mounted traditionally but there was a hole in the radiator where the fan shaft went through with the fan mounted in front. The air intake was through a screen on the top of the hood.

When we had a couple of IH dozers many years ago, both the TD20 and the TD 15 had reversible fans. With the engine stopped, important part of the process, you could push the spring loaded fan blades in on the hub, and rotate them about 45° to switch from a pull fan for the winter, to a push fan for the summer. As long as you kept the hub greased, it worked really well.

Mr. Ritter has made a lot of videos, and I wonder if he is really buying the items that he is featuring, or if they are being supplied to him by the manufacturer. If they are being supplied by the manufacturers, then I believe that he should disclose this in his narrative, or in the credits at the end of the video.

Auburn, Cord, Duesenburg made cars with the entire drivetrain reversed producing front wheel drive cars. All Duesenburgs were test driven at 100mph before shipping.

Probably built on a Monday or a Friday.
