I would like to install a 3rd function valve on my L2501. I know there are several kits out there, but I want it to operate attachment's front and back.
Let me explain my idea.

I would like to use the 3rd function to operate the thump on my BH, using a switch mounted to the bucket handle. Then when not in use have another switch on the FEL handle to operate a front cylinder. ( grapple ) And another on the three point height leaver for attachments.

My thought is have the switches mounted and a plug near the back of the tractor and just switch the plug when the BH is on. That part is easy.
The valve is the concern. I would like to use the rear hyd. port for raising a disk when the loader is off of the tractor.

I was thinking of connecting the new valve to the power beyond line after the BH?
Will this work or should I be thinking something else?
Don't get up set if I don't reply right away as I only get on line in the evenings.

More than likely, you need to put the new valve before the BH. The BH combines the tank and power beyond paths and is, therefore, not intended to withstand the high back pressure that a downstream valve could impose.

I'd consider a 2- or 3-spool valve. Does your disk need a single-acting valve?

I am having problems understanding what you want.

Sounds like you want hydraulic outlets on front loader, backhoe boom, and back of the tractor but only one valve. How do you propose to handle the valve to outlet plumbing?

Easy enough to make long hoses to connect between your FEL control valve and your disk hydraulics. Use the FEL control to raise your disk since the FEL will not be connected but I'll say that without the extra weight of the FEL, disking will have a ton of spinning wheels.

Do you have your tires loaded?

I'm sure one 3rd function valve could be used in one location to do what you want, you'll just have long hoses and wires draped over the place.

I don't have a cylinder for the disk yet. I was hopping to use the one I use for the thump.
As far as the hose's, I would have a set of ends on the back and another set teed off to just below the loader connection's. Then have lines mounted on the FEL when I need them in the future.
The wiring would have all 3 switches connected to a 3 position switch that would allow me to select the location that would operate the valve.

I did something like this years ago on my Power Wagon with a hydraulic power angel snow plow.
I ran lines and a switch to the back of the truck to raise and lower the disk or chisels to move them from field to field so we didn't have to use the tractors on the road as much.

That will work but it seenes overly complicated. Why not do as Po Tree suggested and just add a two spool vslve for the rear functions. Lot less plumbimg and probably cheaper in the end.

I like that idea after thinking it through. Would you recommend one on the loader and one on the back of the tractor?

Yes. Lots of variations possible on that scheme.

Here is one - no affiliation just an example of how you might approach the problem. You can certainly do it for less $$$.

That is just what I need. I could use the rear set for any attachments and the thumb. I would just have to move the elec controls from the 3pt leaver to the bucket control leaver when swapping setups.

I have done several searches with deferent wording and Summit is the only one with this setup.
There pricing is not out of line either.

They provide a switch box for operating the rear valves. No need to move anything.
