This will be my second year haying. The first time around I was a total beginner. This year, I've catapulted up to not-quite total beginner :)

Last year I didn't even know to think about shear pins or slip clutches. Now that I have a few different PTO devices, shear pins and such are on my radar. It looks like my PTO-poweed haybob does NOT have a shear pin or slip clutch.

Should I be worried? If so, are there any fixes, like - I don't know - some sort of PTO shaft add on?

Thanks!

Most equipment like that will have sheer pins on the spindles for the turners.

You can add a slip clutch between the pto shaft and tractor

pto shaft may need to be shortened

Read the manual on it and it's supposed to have a slip clutch on the implement end of the of the PTO shaft.
If it doesn't have one you might want to consider getting one.

If it’s like a Kuhn brand haybob, it has a slip clutch. It is built into the drive shaft and is at one end or the other of it depending upon how the driveshaft was installed on the machine.
