I did it again. The cooling fan I added to the B worked so well it was time to upgrade the "lawn mower". Now the location of the ROPS hinge poses a significant problem. The fan has to mount to the top half but, can't mount to lower half if you need to lower the ROPS. After significant mental processes, I decided to use U-bolts, pillow blocks and 1" bearings and 1" dowel rods.
The pillow blocks and bearings are over kill for a hinge however, they are readily available. The fan is a 16" radiator fan (Flex-a-lite model 116). I needed a cover screen for the opposite side. Walmart had a 17" campfire grill with tripod, grill seems to work ok.
Notice the hardwood block in the left hand hinge. If you size it correctly, the ROPS will be under 7' and you won't bang you head when lowered.
I seldom use the ROPS in the raised position, hence the rope to adjust fan angle. When raised the fan needs to be spaced a little further away from head.
My fan mounting bolts consist of 1/4x6 bolts, fender washer, grill, fan, washer, pex spacer (3 1/2"), washer, dowel, washer, nylon lock nut.
Battery connection, fuse, switch and cable wrap to finish the install

Flex-a-Lite model 116 radiator fan 2,215 CFM and 11 amp draw. Stirs up quite a breeze. May help with bugs a night when running lights. Ground speed in reverse slightly faster?
