I hope I'm in the right forum- I just bought a Grand L6060 about a month ago I have had such bad luck with this unit- the dealer I got it from did not assemble it correctly- They did not bolt the loader on tight the bolts were hand tight (you could unscrew them with your fingers) and a bunch of other stuff wasnt right- I have fixed everything but one - the steering wheel is upside down- can I just remove it and put it on the right way? I do know that when the tractor was delivered to them it comes with no wheels and the front differential is not bolted on. So I was thinking when they put it on they did not have the steering wheel in the right place and it would be easier to remove the steering wheel than the connection at the steering box. Any advice or help would be great. Thanks:D

Your tractor likely has hydrostatic steering. Similar to power steering like your car or truck, but not exactly the same.

The position of the steering wheel will change over time.

Totally normal.

That's the way my M7060 works also. Hydrostatic steering - there is no mechanical connection between the front wheels and the steering wheel. Every time I drive it the steering wheel is in a different orientation..

Like others have said you can't fix it, it will constantly change as there is not a fixed connection to the wheels, it's just a hydraulic cylinder.

Go out and run it turn the wheel till it stops, then turn it a little harder, yes it will keep turning and no it won't damage anything, it's just opening up the bypass on the relief valve.

The fluid connection constantly changes as the pressure, temperature, and amount you turn the wheel keeps changing. ;)

I have 'suicide knobs' on mine. Grab the knob and crank the wheel.

Same here. It was one of the first things I noticed when the L4240 replaced the L3200. At first it was an annoyance. Now I don't even think about it anymore unless someone mentions it.

The steering wheel position on hydrostatic systems didn't sit well with my OCD. I also use a spinner and can finally ignore where it is.

A Ford dealer did a front end alignment on my F250 years ago and left the steering wheel 45 degrees off center, and told me that it doesn't matter. That DOES matter, and they fixed it.

Back in the day I had one of those knobs that when you cranked it, it had a gal in a swimsuit inside and when cranked, the top came off exposing her chest.....:D

I looked all over for another one but could not find one so I settled for an aftermarket Kubota branded knob(s).

Would have really like to had the girly one...

It's Amy btw. She don't run either tractor. All the gears intimidate her. If I had a hydro maybe but I don't. 12 x 12 and her don't get along too well.:)
