The blower fan in my cab won't turn on. Its not the fuse. It started acting up last week and would come on 20 seconds after the tractor was started. Now, nothing. I have power to the switch.

Thoughts? Is there a presssure switch on the system?

Also, with the humidity in Ohio I do get plenty of water dripping inside during the hot summer months.

Where to start? Thanks

If power to the switch and it did work for a short time, probable a bad motor.

I had a similar problem with a pickup years ago. It wasn’t a bad motor, which is certainly possible too....
Wracking my old pea-brain to recall my fix....all I’m coming up with is a relay but not sure at all.
Maybe look at the illustrated parts diagrams and see if there’s something in there??
Just throwing out an idea....again, it was a truck, so may not apply.

Is the blower motor easily accessible in that? If so turn the the blower on and tap on the motor with a small hammer. Could be the brushes in the motor stuck. Just a thought.

No easy access without taking the head liner out. I was just hoping for a known easy solution that someone troubleshooted in the past. Thanks

If you have power to the motor that will carry a load, then bad motor

Water dripping when humid is a common issue in all tractor air conditioners when they get dirt in them and the condensation drains get plugged up. Sounds like you need to give it a good cleaning while checking your fan out.

With all the reading i 've done here, if I'm not mistaken, you can access the fan motor by removing the top cap of the cab. I think everything in the roof of the cab is accessible after removing the cap. When my air conditioner is running there is almost a steady stream of water coming from the two condensation lines under the cab. Maybe a mud dauber plugged one of the lines and the water caused the motor to fail. I would have thought the fuse would have blown, but maybe part of the wiring corroded from the water. Just some random thoughts.

If you don't already have the workshop manual, download it from kubotabooksdotcom free BY CLICKING HERE. Section 10 has procedures for checking the fan switch, fan motor, fan relay, etc.

The blower is switched on by a relay that the blower switch controls.

Check your relay panel and find an identical relay and swap for the blower relay.

You might get lucky.

Took the top cap off the cab. Fan started when I started it by hand. Relay tests fine. Waited an hour and fan WOULDN’T start on it’s on own. It’s either the resistor or the motor. I’ll test and replace accordingly. Does anyone have the kubota part numbers for the fan and resistor? I’m assuming aftermarket (or the company that makes OEM under a diff name) is available? Thoughts?
