As you said 9.5 would be the width of the tire and 16 is the diameter. You always need the correct rim-width for the tire you want to mount otherwise the rolling circumference of the tire will change. Always use the rim the tire asks for. You get this infos from the tire manufacturer.
So in that respect - If I look up the tire:

http://www.petestirestore.com/Carlisle-Farm-Specialist-Farm-Tractor-Tire-9-5x16-p1056.html

it shows a rim width of 8" so I would require a rim thath was 8" wide with an OD of 16"...?
correct?

Correct.

Actual OD of the new wheel will measure 17"........tire to rim measurement is taken inside of the rim lip.........wheel is oversized at bead to accommodate bead.
Yes I was wondering that...

Now am I correct in the assessment of going with same setup as you have that I will need to get both front and rear rims (wheels) as well?

Any thoughts on the front rims?

you lucky ...!! :p

So just to assess this again I would require :

Fronts 7x12 wheels

Rears 8x16 wheels
??

And further to that I will have to double check the clearance that I have on the rear wheels to the inner fenders on and height of clearance to the fenders on the rear... Anyone have any insight on this for a B7200??

These are perfect for you......may find your rears here too.
They build custom to order.

Kinda wish I had gone this route.

so I spoke with these guys and they said that they dont have a 7x12 - but they could build an 8x12 instead...

any thoughts??

it looks like this Carlisle Tru Power 23x8.5x12 size would still work??

http://www.petestirestore.com/Carlisle-Tru-Power-Tractor-Tire-23x8-50-12-p744.html

or even the 23x10x12 Tru Power?

http://www.petestirestore.com/BKT-TR-315-Lawn-Tractor-Tire-23x10-50-12-p3147.html

I spoke with these guys as well and they can supply a 7x12 rim. $92 each.

Yeah, the 23x10.5x12 sounds like a lot of tire......but not in reality.

If you go that route I would definitely look to at least a 12" rear.

Sounds like you are finding your options.

There is a 11.2x16 rear..........Titan IIRC.......but I think the RC is 110".........I'll look it up later or you can.

Well Ive made some calls and doing some digging anyway... I needed to make sure I have the clearance on the tractor itself - and the fronts I definitely have atleast an inch before there is any interference with the front control arms or anything so the larger rim is definitely an option.

Is there any benefit either way with either of the rim sizes?? i.e. 7x12 vs. 8x12.

Because it appears that I can obtain either one. as posted in the above links and the 7x12 rim at $92 each.

As for the rears I currently have a good 3" of clearance to the underside of the fender itself - so there IS some room for growth there. With the 33" rear tires which have a 33.5" OD actual measurement once installed it appears - I would still have some room there... Any more and I would have to mod the fenders.

Thoughts? suggestions either way??

I have tracked down the rubber itself and found a place that can order it in for me so I think Im on track!?

Many thanks to you guys for your help!!

Maybe one day my B7200 will look as decent as yours!

Can someone confirm the rear wheel dimensions for me?? This is what I have pulled from a quick search and measurements - just wanted to confirm before I had one built...

Units in 'mm'.

Sorry - I should have specified - can someone confirm those dimensions for me??

Also any idea what the bolt hole diameter itself actually is?

And does anyone have any thoughts as to the 8" or 7" wide front rim?? Better or worse either way??
More tire availability one way or another? functional? practical??

thx guys!
