The manual shows the both steering rod tie rods on the L185DT as being the same. But if your tractor has ever had the steering box replaced it has a small tie rod on the pitman arm end that was discontinued by kubota a long time ago.
I'm assuming the replacement steering boxes are all L245 with a small tie rod.
Either way if this is an L245 part and my LKS (local kubota shop) couldn't find it, if you did get a genuine kubota part it's going to be around a $70. But, you can get a moog that's pretty close for around $20, might have to shorten it a little.
The part number is: ES421R
Your are on your own for the other end of the steering rod that connects to the spindle. Some one welded a big 3/4-16 left hand thread nut on the steering rod and put a big old imperial threaded tie rod on there. But if you are out of ideas and are willing to mod your tractor a little. The moog EA150L might be an option. You will need a full size 3/4-16 french nut to weld on and a thinner 3/4-16 french jam nut to make it stay where you set it.
