I have a L4400 that I am pretty sure I have a PTO seal leaking. I have not gotten it all cleaned up in order to confirm exactly where my oil is coming from. It has left a considerable puddle of fluid after sitting overnight from using brush hog for about 3 hours over last weekend. Assuming I am correct in my evaluation how big of a job is this going to be to repair. Thanks for your time and input. Kenny

Nothing complex. Pop the old seal out and install a new one with a seal driver. You might want to elevate the rear so the fluid don't run out. Ramps work well for that.

Thanks Sidecarflip for the info. I was hoping it would be that simple. I am not at home looking at it right now but I am thinking that there is possibly an outside plate that I will have to remove and the seal is in that plate. I guess I am going to have to bite the bullet and break down and purchase $140.00 WSM. Any suggestions on manual.
