I recently got my first tractor and find my self looking for ways to store common items like chains and small hand tools.
Wait....what is that 4.25"x13.5" empty tube on the main frame of my LA525 loader?

Great idea, you would think that Kubota would use some of these great ideas that come along and add them to the tractors. I suppose they would then charge an outrages price for the accessory.

Yes, the torque tube make a great storage place-nice job!

A customer sent me this pics a few years ago, it's been on the website ever since:
What do you use to keep everything from falling out the other end of the tube. I suppose it would need to fit the inside diameter of the tube??? I believe we would have around 44" length and 4 and 5/16 inside diameter to work with.

I did not make it Josef, as I wrote "a customer sent me this picture..."

I assume he used some sort of cap on the pipe, a trip to the Home Cheapot plumbing isle and it could be figured easily.

I had the same problem with my vertical tubes - I did not want the mud and what not piling up inside the bottom of the tube against the steel floor plan.

I took a piece of sign aluminum and cut it in a circle and then used small screws to screw into the pipe - #6 with a square drive, counter sunk the alum plate so the screw would sit flat too.

I piece of treated wood cut on a band saw would do the same thing = could cut it to fit the ID of the tube too.;)

Josef,
the white tube is 4" thin wall drainage pipe. I used a 3" end cap and riveted it inside. The finished tube is 4" X 15" which holds a 12' length of 5/16 chain and two hooks.

Thanks, but not my idea, I'm pretty sure I saw it here.
However the two small ones I did heat the pipe up and expand it to maximize the space, not much difference I imagine, but did it cuz I could suppose.

This is a small tool box, but holds the tools to take off the 3 point arms to install the backhoe.
