Hello all:

Where is the best place to buy R1 AG tires online. When I say best place, I mean descent quality tires at a descent price. Maybe it doesn't exist but I thought I would ask......

I need 2- 7X16 or 8.3X16 (or anything in the middle)
And 2- 13.6X24 (or close enough)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Check simpletire.com I got mine from them,
best price I could find for Rice Paddy tires for my L 1500

It has an odd size rim so I didn't have a big selection to choose from.

Thank you! They also offer a 5% Military Discount..... That's cool.

I call SimpleTire at 888-410-0604 and got a better price for the exact same tire as they had listed on Ebay, just last week.

I recently bought tires from Www.tires4that.com and very pleased with the pric, speed of delivery and the tires had a very recent manufacturing date on them.

I was a bit apprehensive to buy food on them at first since I never heard of them before and their prices were the lowest I found. But the transaction exceeded my expectations. Bought Titan 6-ply turf tires for the front of the L3130.

Have you checked local tractor tire dealers? Shipping is a killer and just because it’s online doesn’t mean it’s the cheapest.

First place I called was a very prominent Kubota dealer. The wholegoods price wasn’t competitive give the wheel was included and they could not procure a tire. When they couldn’t help they provided their non-Kubota sources and I called every one of them. Called additional suppliers and even a wholesale distributors who couldn’t sell to me directly. One wholesaler did however put me on to tires4that as they supplied tires to them. That’s how I found them.

For this particular size, style and ply rating they were the cheapest by far of the many (>14) places I checked.

My dad fault when buying tractor tires is Kubota through their wholegoods department, but in this case they were not competitive.

You're absolutely right. In fact, the quality of tires is usually better from the dealer. Some of these online places buy hundreds of a certain tire, and some of them can sit on the rack for a couple of years before they get sold.

I have a "unique" situation with the Kubota dealers near me. Literally 21 miles west of me and 25 miles east of me are two Kubota dealers. The west guy sells everything at twice the price of the east guy......literally. Everything is 2x the price of the east guy - but the east guy takes FOREVER to get non-stock items. I am a "go now" kinda guy so I have to get most of my stuff from the Internet. Sometimes I hit my local Tractor Supply but 9 times out of 10 whenever I need a pair of anything, they always seem to have just one in stock and they'll "call" me when the other one comes in............shake my head

I am not positive but can confirm tomorrow because my tires are at work next
to the tire machine (just got the tubes today). But I think the date code on the
ones I got from simpletire.com was 05/17.

I would think any reputable seller could provide that information before
shipping, but maybe I expect too much.

SimpleTire is where I got the rear tires for my new project. $32 shipping for each tire but they were $47 cheaper than Amazon Prime PLUS SimpleTire gives. 5% Military discount even if you're retired. This was the first order I ever made from them. I hope the tires are in good shape when I get them. I've seen motorcycle tires my neighbor got from the TireRack start checking after only 4-5 months. TireRack wouldn't do anything for him.

Not to beat a dead horse  (cuz everyone likes horses) I did get my tires today from Amazon. And I'm bringing this up cuz I don't know and don't have anyone to teach me but myself, the shop manual and about a dozen guys who hang around here: I couldn't find a date stamp on the tires like on my car tires. I have Michelins on my car and the date stamp is clearly embossed on the sidewall. Not on these tractor tires. They are Carlisle 6 ply Farm Specialist R1. There was a pink tag really stuck to each tire with a barcode and date. Is that the date of manufacture? Maybe the industry believes in the honor system? But if that's legitimately the DOM then I learned something new today. According to these stickers, the tires were manufactured on 1/2018. Cool.
