Finally got my BX2200 going and noticed that the front tires are really squishy, especially on turns with weight in the loader. Got to looking, and the idiot before me put 2 plys on there
My question is this: the tractor came with 4 plys but my tire guy can order me 8 plys for about $50 more for the pair. Will I notice any benefit from the heavier tires?

Thanks

Get the 8 plys for sure.

I was able to get a set of BX24 wheels/tires for my BX23 (similar to your BX2200) for about the same cost as tires alone. The BX24 wheels are larger (more rim height, less tire sidewall) and I think it made a difference for loader work.

forgot to mention that the bx24 tires/wheels that replaced were fronts only. Same circumference as Bx23. Always kept them at min of 22 psi as well.

I ordered the 8 plys. They will be in tomorrow, hopefully I can go tomorrow night and get installed. The 2" spacers I installed on the rears made a huge difference in stability, hopefully the heavier tires up front will make me feel more confident on turns with weight in the bucket.

I will report back once they are installed.

good deal. They should be fine. If they feel a bit squishy, just air them up a bit.

8 ply front tires installed, HUGE difference. Now I don't feel like the tires are about ready to roll right off the rims at any moment. Front end stays planted like it's supposed to, no wobble, no squish.

If you are on the fence, definitely worth the $175 investment
