"Well most wont want to here this but, I started my woodpile for next winter."

I spent the day cutting standing dead for this spring. Used five cord this winter, and ran out. We still have another month of freezes. Supposed to get snow tonight. I'm sick of it.

Well it's never to early. I was not ready for this winter, my yard was a mess. So I've started getting my yard ready. I will be ready this year. Well at least that's the plan.

It finally dried out enough after last weeks 4" of rain to plant my 2 acres total of spring food plots. I put 12 hours on the little tank this week planting 5 different plots with a 50/50 mix of corn and Eagle Seed soybeans. I planted them with my old JD 246 planter.

Well I cut my lawn for the first time this year. About a week late here. Still can see snow on the mountains top here. Cold - may be a frost tonight. I want to put flowers on my mother grave this weekend for Mother Day.

I actually used the bucket as a portable workbench, installing a chain link fence. Holding all the hardware and tools for the last couple days and the next couple :(

I have been cutting clam stakes for the last few days. they are 20 foot straight trees about 4 inches across at the stump. The clammers and the oyster diggers use them to mark their flats. A friend comes up from N.J. and picks them up and takes them back for me. I use the tractor to haul them out of the woods.

I planned to do the 100 hr service on my L4240 this weekend. The tractor just turned 99.2 hrs this morning. However, I changed my plans and plowed snow instead. If I'm lucky, I won't need to do it again this spring. We're supposed to get anywhere between 12 and 18", with the storm ending tomorrow. It started out as a wet snow, so the snowblower wasn't too useful. When I plowed, I kept singing "Springtime in the Rockies" (fortunately, no one could hear it over the noise of the engine).

Spent about 4 quality hours on my 9000 pulling my batwing / lawn mower. Yes about 1/2 a hour was doing the yard at our rental property, piece of crap renters won't cut grass because they stay drunk all the time.
Cut around my ponds and shed so it would look better.

Moved my baler to another shed so I can get to my mower. Greased my tedder and rake so all I need to do is hook up and go to the field. Other than hooking the mower up all I have left to do is wash the tractors and I'm ready. Fingers crossed, the rain will let up this week. I have about 75 acres ready to cut. That's the only time I enjoy cutting grass.

Tilled the rest of the garden, then put the finish mower back on. Any reason to get on the tractor....

Received tractor Friday. Tilled and plowed gardens, added led lights to tops to plug in to adapter, found tail light out. Checked light this morning, cable not plugged in to power tail light. Fixed it.
