The boom cylinder of my 619B backhoe (on a B6000) is leaking. The manual indicates the part number for the rebuild kit is 1118. I have searched everywhere to no avail. Maybe they have changed the part number?

Anybody has this info and where to get it? Thanks!

I don't know the part number, but you can remove the cyl. and take it to a local hydraulic repair shop. The have, or can get, the parts needed.

You can probably have them assemble them for you at a nominal cost, or just purchase the parts and have your own private learning experience!

Yep, they'll have access to metric parts.

D2Cat's suggestion is better than mine. Mainly in that the hydro shop will have likely have a much better price. I have bought several Kubota kits lately and was shocked at the price. They were over $250.00 each.

If rebuilding a hydraulic cylinder is new to you, i would reccomend the hydraulic shop is money well spent. Tools to take cylinder apart,oxy/acetelyne if heat is needed and a beefy vise mounted to a solid workbench. I made a spanner when i needed to take a cylinder apart, and it was tight!!

A means to flush cylinder is important, one small piece of debris can score the cylinder and nick a seal.

250 for a kit is kind of steep, hydraulic shop will likely reseal it for less. Generic metric seals are inexpensive.

Thanks a bunch guys!

The instructions for rebuilding the cylinders appear not that hard (in the 619B manual), so I was contemplating to get the seals somehow and do it myself. After reading you guys reply/experience I am going to take it off first and hopefully can find a hydraulic shop nearby to rebuild it.

If the Kubota seal kits are that expensive, buying another close enough cylinder could be an option too.
