Hello again,

Going to attempt a rebuild of the M21 loader boom cylinders next week.

Is there anything that I should watch out for or 'tricks' to make the job easier?;)

Could not find anything in the forum(?):(

Thanks in advance,

Rico

Some cylinders have setscrews on the cylinder blocks. That's true on excavators. I don't know that yours does but be very sure it doesn't before you try to unscrew it from the shaft. Any turning at all with the setscrews in place is a $1000.00 mistake. Please don't ask me how I know. Apart from that, just be sure the seal lips are oriented the same way they come out. The lip should be toward pressure. If the inner seal is hard to get in, boil it in water to soften it. Much easier.
