anybody got a good recommendation for a pull behind yard rake?

not a 3 point style.. the other style. drag behind style for mower/side x side.

can leave a lot smaller footprint in the yard with the big zero than the tractor.

links or pix?

GOT IT!! Re: yard rake pull behind style? RECs?

well it showed up the other day & on my first day off got it assembled.

this is the pull behind one in the link a couple posts back.

the idea was to use this behind the big Hustler Zero or the Mini truck cause they are way lighter in the yard than my CK4010...

on dry ground it would be no problem. the ground today was pretty friggin wet/muddy.

it did fine with leaves & decent with walnuts. the issue was to empty it you had to stop get off & raise it with the handle.

other issue was that if you tried to back it up? you would just spin in the wet ground.

YES i did use the angle to run everything out the one side, but still....

advantage to a 3 point mount for raising & lowering without stopping.

Mini truck was obviously better for reversing & not spinning but takes more room to turn & still have to get out to raise/lower.

which puts it back to the heavier tractor.

this is a pull behind, but my counterweight box has a hitch on it... so pull behind was no issue & when you raise the 3 point it still picks the front up high enough for empty/clean off of the rake.

it doesnt lift the whole unit off the ground but it does get it high enough to not drag.

so all in all?

if you are gonna do heavy raking or need to stay on the seat?

the tractor has the advantage!!

now if you want light in the yard? tractor is OUT.

will try to grab some pix later in the week.
