I'm installing this on my BX2812-60 blade, the install manual indicates 150ftlbs torque. At that setting the rubber is distorting at the bottom edge & squishing out of the steel retainer bar. I'm finding 50ftlbs seems to work (by my eye anyway) solid mount & no squishing or distortion. Do any of you folks have any experience with this attachment?

Thanks,
John

You sure it doesn't say 150 In lbs?
Ft/lbs for sure, in/lbs would never do, rubber edge & hardware alone weigh in at about 50 lbs + blade weight. I'm thinking now that the torque specs stated are general for type of bolt (in this case 5/8" Grade 5 NC) & not specific to this attachment even though the manual states they are to be used for the rubber edge. Unless I hear other I'll run with my 50 ft/lbs guess & see how it goes--heavy wet snow this morning, thanks for your reply.

I think you'll be fine and dandy, all the bolts need to do is hold the edge on and not loosen up. ;)

Sounds to me like some fender washers under the bolt heads are in order...

The retainer is a continuous 1/4" thk. steel bar, backing spacer is continuous 1/2" thk. steel bar, rubber edge is 1" thk. x 6" hgt.(see attached)

Worked just fine today, cleaned down to new asphalt without a scratch, so 50 ft/lbs is my mark. We''ll see on longevity but it is heavily built & first use today had no wear on rubber edge.

Thanks again folks for your replies,
John

Where did you buy your cutting edge?

I'm looking for a pre-drilled one with retainer or appropriate washers (with counter bored holes in cutting edge) for the V5060 plow on my RTV-X1100C but have not been able to find one.

No problem finding one from Kubota for the B2673 blade on my B3350.
