Hi all-

I've got a L3710 that I'd like to put some new headlamp bulbs in before winter takes a giant white dump on me. I took the bulbs out but can find no identifying numbers. I search online and found Kubota part numbers - but nothing I can use to point in the direction of a replacement.

I did get this site (www.superbrightleds.com) from one of the thread on here, but none of the "base types" are anything like mine. I'm guessing I have to cut the wires and do some splicing. BUT before I go all freddy krueger on the wires, I wanted to get your input.

1. Is there a direct LED/HID replacement (not incandescent)?
2. Do I have to cut the wires and splice in the new bulbs?
3. If so, the base needs to match up, so what base do I select?

Thanks for your help.

Have a great week.

There are so many different versions of the bulbs that kubota has used over the years.
Post up a picture of which ones you have and we can see if there is a good replacement for it. ;)

Here's the bulb - on the bottom there are (2) raised contacts. There's also a small tab around the collar that isn't pictured. Based upon Firefighterontheside's reply - it looks like the base is PX15D or H6M. They appear to be the same. Thanks, Wolfman.

If anyone has a bulb they recommend or don't recommend, that would be great. I am reading reviews online (mostly Amazon), and they aren't really conclusive. So anyone with personal experience would be great.

Thanks again gents.

Not certain if it matters to the OP, but the description states they are low beam only.

Suggest sticking with LED over HID to keep the current draw to a minimum.

Have you considered adding auxiliary LED lights to the ROPS? Most find the stock headlight position limiting when a FEL is mounted.
Definitely want a hi/lo. And thanks for the advice on the LED. That narrows the search.

I've got the original work lights on the cab. But I purchased LED replacements last year. I just need to wire them up. Seems like there's always something a little more pressing that keeps me from doing it. If I wait too long, the tech will probably change. I hope to have those up and working by first snow. But I'd like to have the lower headlights a little brighter too.

Thanks again for the advice.

I hadn’t thought about hi/low. I never use my tractor after dark, so headlights don’t mean much to me. I’m sure someday I will use it after dark for some reason and I’ll be wishing I had upgraded. I’m not even sure my tractor has hi and low. I will be interested to see what you get.

My L4060 has different headlight bulb sockets (seem similar to the automotive style 3 prong bulbs). I gave up on replacing them with leds. I find the headlights more of an aggravation with a loader, and generally only use them for when I’m on the road.
I do have 4 corner 55w leds on the cab, which turn the night into day.
