Do you have the WSM (aka service manual) for it?
If not, get a copy, makes things easier.

Interesting. I didn't know wet brakes petered out. I have 3600 hours on one of my M's and 1900 on the other and the brakes have been adjusted (for pedal travel one time.). Stop on a dime and give 9 cents change...
