I know I'm resurrecting an old thread, but since it's just happening for me, it's all new.
Am I right, in thinking this kit would put the FEL back on the onboard hydraulics, and not on the front mounted pump I now use?
Thanks
Tim

Yes you are thinking right.

Well adding the kit(or Parts) and switching the lines around will move the hydraulic operations to the main pump. ;)

That would be great. Pump is whining, and the flex coupler is stripped. I've got it rigged with a couple of set screws holding it in place. I guess I'd have to ditch the external tank, and replumb the valve too.

I must be reading it wrong as I think it all involves the pump on the crank. Good luck I hope you are right as I had to fab my own crank to pump shaft- using part of a lawnmower axle.

sullpond,
Sorry I miss informed you, I read the original posting wrong.
The kit they are talking about upgrades the crank shaft run pump and not the main hydraulic pump.
I know on a B7100 you can change the pump to a B8200 pump and gain performance but I have not heard of a similar change for the L245.

Not a problem, just a change of focus. I'm back to figuring out a new drive method for the front pump then.

Know of anyone where I can get a coupler equivalent to the 99511-98100 to a key chank on a hydrolic pump?

Bringing this thread back to life compliments of the search engine....

Pic's tell the story:
Splines (18) worn smooth on the coupler that goes over the crank shaft protruding out the front of the L245DT.

Trying to find the replacement coupler (18 spline) and repair this one.
I found this on ebay - I am not sure if that would help make the repair. (It appears that this is the wrong diameter)

That one is really close....the inside diameter on the one I have is 1" and I see the JD one is just a bit over that.
I Googled "18 Spline Pulley" and am sifting through the results looking for a 1" inside diameter that I can adapt (ie: cut away the pulley portion, and have some center stock to replace the one I have).

I called the Sparex company, and they are wholesale to suppliers like NAPA and The Tractor Supply Company. Turns out.....that coupler would be well over $100 retail!!!
