New Kubota owner and need to know what this cable is for and if I need to reconnect it or leave it. It's on the left side near the clutch pedal and it looks like it might function with the reverse and forward lever. This is a gear driven tractor.

Does the lever (that the cable should hook to) on top front move when you move the PTO lever?
If so it might have been an add on for a creeper set up for operations such as trenching, that would always make sure the transmission was in low range when PTO was in use.

I was wondering if it was a pto disengage or speed related disconnect when going from forward to reverse.
I have confirmed it is the speed control cable which keeps you from engaging 8th gear while in reverse. Thanks for the help. Love this tractor by the way! It's so much more than my Jd 650..
