70 Series BX Dash in 60 Series?

Hi-

Any chance a BX 70 series instrument cluster would work in a 60 series tractor? Would the wiring harness work? This is probably a long shot but I really don’t like the gauge cluster in my 60 series.

If you order a new instrument cluster from Kubota you will get the newer 70 series one. It will come with a wiring adapter for your tractor.

I think I found the part - K2771-99000. Says it will fit the BX2360; I have a BX1860. As far as I know the 1860 and 2360 instrument clusters are the same. If that is the case , would this kit fit the 1860?

K2731-99000 is the correct number for a bx1860. I'm not sure what the difference is but they list a different part number for each of them. Likely has to do with the alternator to engine rpm ratio.

Do you know if K2731-99000 is both the instrument cluster and adapter or is it just the adapter? I’m thinking it’s both, but not 100% clear to me.

It is both. I got it off the service bulletin for the changeup.

I have one of the new panels in my BX24. Much better than the original!

Question: Does the instrument cluster just pop out? I was looking at the instructions that will come with the replacement kit and it starts talking about removing the steering wheel, the throttle lever, etc. This seems like overkill to replace the panel...assuming it pops out of the dash.

Yes, it just pops out. the only tool you'll need is a screwdriver and a 1/2 wrench to connect the power wire to the battery terminal

New instrument cluster is in! Overall very easy; hardest part was getting the battery out of the compartment. It***8217;s a tight fit and I didn***8217;t follow the instructions to the letter as they called for grinding about 3mm off of the console. The result of not doing this is that the cluster sits a little proud just behind the steering column. It seems like everything is tight and stable, so I guess I won***8217;t worry about it. A huge improvement over the stock BX1860 cluster.
