After researching like crazy and seriously looking at Mahindra, I decided on the MX5800. It's a powerful compact that should be more than enough tractor for our 19 acres. I ordered it with a 3rd valve for a grapple, a set of rear remotes, had the rear tires are filled and added chain hooks to the bucket as well.

Minutes after the photo, it was moving some downed trees and some gravel for a Garage-In-A-Box shelter I bought to store it in until our barn and garage are built.

Now for more implements.

:)

Thank you and yes it is.
I've got the same cutter. Will be interested in how you like it. I've had some issues with mine. I got the chains for the back. Had to put extra bolts and spacers on the ends of the bracket that holds them to keep them from bending. Hope you have better luck with yours!

Congratulations, that's a really nice setup. I've been very happy with my LP cutter and a grapple really comes in handy.

Dang, that is one sweet looking machine. Storage inside is best, sure keeps the paint from looking old before it's time.

My Dad always says " gotta keep the girls lookin good, because you never know when you need to take them to town".:D

Should I get the mx5200 or the mx5800? I was quoted 26,200.00 on the mx5200 how much did you pay for your mx5800?
Hi Fattball. I can't speak for you on whether a MX5200 or MX5800 is right for your specific application. We are clearing 8 acres of woods and I wanted 50 hp at the PTO for a chipper as well as plenty of HP to pull logs around on a grapple. I'm confident I'll never regret spending the extra 5-6% on 6 additional hp. I debated on a L6060 vs the MX5800 and decided the extra $6k for the L6060 would buy a lot of implements. We also drove a M7060 and several Mahindra's before deciding on the MX5800 with HST.

I ordered it with R4's (after a long debate and research), a 3rd function kit on the loader for a grapple, a set of remotes on the back, rear tires filled, chain hooks welded to the bucket, a rear work light and a 72" Landpride brush hog. The total price delivered was just over $32k.

I wanted to get the hydraulic add-ons and accessories from the dealer so there's no warranty surprises if I have any issues down the road.

I hope this info helps.

Can you provide some information about the 3rd function kit on the loader for a grapple?
We are also looking at the MX5800, but was told a 3rd remote for the loader wasn't an option, we would have to run a hose from the rear remote to the loader.

Thanks

3rd party for the 3rd function kit. Should run around $1000 installed. Don't go the rear remote route, that would run about $350 installed (properly) and uses a rear remote that would normally be used for something on the back end.

Im buying today or tomorrow either the 5800 or 5200 or john deere 5055e ive been up all night trying to decide.
I compared the JD 5055e last year and ended up buying the Bota M5140. Without looking it up I believe the 5800 or 5200 are much lighter tractors....like maybe 1,000 to 1,500 lbs? If HST is important the JD or M6060 (M5140 no longer being made) don't give you that option, but do have the hydro-shuttle. Guess I'm just trying to say that the 5800 or 5200 aren't a fair comparison to the JD 5055e. I'd get Orange! :D
